Stress awarenessThis training course is designed to raise awareness of the likely sources of work-related stress.  Aimed at general employees it also serves as an introduction to the issue for more senior staff.

The course will enable employees to contribute to strategies which combat work-related stress.

Course Syllabus:

  • Definition of stress.
  • Stress as a health hazard.
  • Workplace stressors.
  • Controls for work related stressors.
  • Responsibilities imposed under UK legislation.

The aim of the course is to raise awareness of likely sources of work- related stress, the range of symptoms and effects it can cause and the options for its control.

Course Objectives:

  • By the end of the course the student will be able to:
  • Explain what is meant by the term work-related stress.
  • Identify stress in others and themselves.
  • Explain why you should control stress in the workplace.
  • Explain the typical stress related factors in the workplace.
  • Advise on and implement workplace controls to reduce stress.
  • Monitor colleagues and themselves in relation to stress at work.

Course length: 5-6 hrs.

Qualification achieved: Stress certificate.

Cost: £50 per person + VAT on open courses.

£50 per person + VAT (min charge of £300 + VAT) for in-house courses.
