Appointed Persons
First Aid For Appointed Persons.
This 3 hour appointed person first aid course gives students the knowledge to take control of an emergency first aid situation.
When an employer’s first-aid needs assessment identifies that a first-aider is not necessary, the minimum requirement is to have appointed persons to take charge of first-aid arrangements. The role of this appointed person includes looking after the first-aid box, re-stocking first aid equipment, record keeping of any incidents and calling the emergency services when required. They can also provide emergency cover, where a first-aider is absent due to unforeseen circumstances.
