4First Aid for Appointed Persons.
This 3-hour first aid for appointed persons course gives students the knowledge to take control of an emergency first aid situation.
When an employer’s first aid needs assessment identifies that a first aider is not necessary, the minimum requirement is to have appointed persons to take charge of first-aid arrangements. The role of this appointed person includes looking after the first-aid box, re-stocking first aid equipment, record keeping of any incidents and calling the emergency services when required. They can also provide emergency cover, where a first aider is absent due to unforeseen circumstances.

- Assessment of the scene.
- Assessment of casualties.
- Recovery position.
- First aid equipment.
- Legislation.
- Accident reporting.
Course Length: 3 hours
Qualification achieved: Singleton Training Services Certificate
Cost: £40 per person + VAT on open courses.
£40 per person + VAT (min charge of £240 + VAT) for in-house courses.
