6 Hour Paediatric course
This one day Paediatric First Aid Course gives candidates the knowledge and ability to deal with emergency first aid situations when dealing with children.
The Paediatric first aid course is designed for people caring for children in any setting including nurseries and schools. It is designed to help prepare you for dealing with emergency situations, including giving CPR. This course is shorter than the 12-hour Early years syllabus course recommended by Ofsted. The course also covers the syllabus required to achieve Millies Mark.
Paediatric First Aid Course Syllabus:
- Help a baby/child who is unresponsive and breathing normally.
- Help a baby/child who is unresponsive and not breathing normally.
- Help a baby/child who is having a seizure.
- Help a baby/child who is choking.
- Help a baby/child who is bleeding.
- Help a baby/child who is suffering from shock caused by severe blood loss (hypovolemic shock).
Course length: 6 – 7 hrs over 1 day.
Qualification achieved: TQUK Level 3 Award in Paediatric Emergency First Aid (RQF).
Cost: £60 per person + VAT on open courses.
£60 per person (min charge of £360) + VAT for in-house courses.
