RQF Emergency First Aid at Work + Forestry module Course
This RQF accredited level 3 course in emergency first aid at work, gives candidates the knowledge and ability to deal with emergency first aid situations. The bolt on forestry module is recognised as the standard for working outdoors or in remote locations.
This first aid at work course satisfies the criteria set by HSE in terms of competence. As such it can be used by the student in all forms of other work that they may be engaged with.
Course Syllabus:
- Role of the first aider.
- Risk of infection.
- Consent.
- Accident reporting.
- First aid equipment.
- Primary assessment of casualty.
- Recovery position.
- Seizures.
- CPR.
- AED.
- Choking.
- Bleeding.
- Shock.
- Small wounds.
- Splinters.
Sports module:
- Catastrophic bleeds, tourniquets and haemostatic dressings
- Crush injuries
- Hypothermia
- Lyme disease
Course length: 7 hrs, over 1 day
Qualification achieved: TQUK Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) + forestry 1st aid certificate.
Recognition: TQUK & UKAS points – 8
Cost: £75 per person + VAT on open courses.
£75 per person + VAT (min charge of £450 + VAT) for in-house courses.
