Emergency First Aid
This HSE approved 6 hour course gives candidates the knowledge and ability to deal with emergency first aid situations.
If first-aiders are needed in your workplace, they must have a qualification that HSE approves. This courses satisfies the legal requirement for frist aid cover in low to medium risk businesses.
Course length: 6 – 7 hrs Qualification: HSE approved EFAW certificate
Course Syllabus
- Assessment of 1st aid scene & safety
- Primary assessment of casualty
- Secondary assessment of casualty for life threatening injuries
- Recovery position
- CPR including infant resuscitation
- Unconsciousness
- Head injuries
- Fainting
- Choking
- Heart attack
- Stroke
- Epilepsy
- Diabetes
- Poisoning
- Wounds & bleeding
- Burns & scalds
- Legislation, accident book, RIDDOR & contents of 1st aid box
Cost: £35 per person + VAT on open courses
£35 per person + VAT (min charge of £280 + VAT) for in-house courses
Courses can be run in house or at our training centres in Lincoln and Grimsby in Lincolnshire. We also run open courses regularly for individuals or businesses needing to train single employees.
