12 Hour Paediatric

Lady administering CPR on infant dummyThis 12 hour course is in line with the early years foundation stage requirements for childminders and gives candidates the knowledge and ability to deal with emergency first aid situations particularly whilst dealing with children.

This course is recognised by Early years and Lincolnshire County Councila and the syllabus is in line with the early years foundation stage requirements.

Course length: 12 hrs

Qualification: Emergency First Aid at Work certificate with paediatrics.

Course Syllabus

The course covers:

  • Assessment of the scene
  • Prioritisation of casualties
  • Assessment of casualties
  • CPR (Using both adult and child sized manikins)
  • Recovery position
  • Causes and treatment of unconsciousness

- Head injury
- Fainting
- Asphyxia
- Heart attack
- Allergic reactions
- Epilepsy
- Diabetes
- Poisoning
- Asthma

  • Bleeds and burns
  • Legislation, accident book, RIDDOR & contents of 1st aid box.

Cost: £60 per person + VAT on open courses

£60 per person (min charge of £480) + VAT for in-house courses

Courses can be run in house or at our training centres in Lincoln and Grimsby in Lincolnshire.  We also run open courses regularly for individuals or businesses needing to train single employees.
