The training course is designed to increase awareness and understanding of strokes as a medical condition.
The training covers the medical aspects of a stroke and also encourages candidates to practically experience the difficulties a stroke patient experiences whilst dealing with their condition.
Stroke patients often seem difficult to manage; one of the main aims of this course is to allow students to understand the frustration of the patient and learn to respond with empathy and professionalism.
