MEDICAL GASES
Medical gases should only be administered by staff who are:
- Competent in the administration of medical gases & basic life support.
- Familiar with the side effects of medical gases & their contra-indications.
- Aware of the criteria for patient selection and exclusion.
The aim of the course is to ensure:
- Medical gas is administered safely & effectively.
- To reduce the likelihood of side effects and complications.
